I headed down to the beach around 6:30, for my lounger and just listened to the ocean.
These birds are everywhere
Lisa and Muma joined me around 9. Jen opted to have a sleep in and hang at the pool.
We had a relaxing day just swimming. We watched a photo shoot at the beach. We also noticed they had zip lining in the area but not high off the ground and super slow (wimps!). Note the black sand is extremely hot.
Mid day we walked over to the shops for a stretch then headed to the pool and hung there the rest of the day. Phil the cop told us some animals hang out in the smoking area down the path. We decided to walk down but nothing...we'll try again tomorrow.
We showered and headed down for drinks. Please note they do not have Kahlua at this establishment ( which is surprising given the proximity to Mexico).
Tonight's buffet was international night. This is one of the stations (because you know what they say, when in Costa Ruca do as the Hawaiins).
Lisa and I took a wander over to the casino. It's tiny. Mostly penny slots (with one quarter slots and 5 dollar slots- yes we counted). Then there's a blackjack table and a roulette table. They don't have a roulette wheel though; it's pretty much a bingo ball cage.
Tomorrow it's back to the beach...although I have found this Irish skin and all the SPF 50 in the world are no match for this Costa Rican sun😞
